We are seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to oversee the purchasing of raw materials equipment, and merchandise from various sources for wholesale distribution, resale, or internal use. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in the pharmaceutical/manufacturing industry, specifically within the nutrition sector, to ensure efficient procurement processes. Skills, Experience, and Qualifications.

While formal qualifications are not mandatory, applicants should possess significant experience of at least 3 years in the pharmaceutical/manufacturing industry, demonstrating a high level of expertise and knowledge in the nutrition field. Familiarity with health products such as Fertility Aid, Detox Cleanse, Herbal Smoke mix, Immune Support, Medicinal, Herbal tea, essential oil, organic and botanical skincare products, Mushrooms, Multivitamin & Minerals, and supplements is essential. Additionally, supervisory experience and the ability to train staff are required.

As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for supplier management, procurement process management, and inventory/supply chain management. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Attending trade fairs, shows, and demonstrations to research new product lines and Staying updated on market trends and selecting appropriate products/services. Evaluating budgetary limitations and customer requirements to determine the quantity, type, range, and quality of goods or services to be purchased. Assessing bids from suppliers, identifying suitable suppliers, and negotiating prices.

Assisting in contract negotiation with suppliers and specifying details of required goods or services. Identifying opportunities to improve supply networks and presenting innovative ideas to the senior management team, Ensuring that delivered items comply with orders, monitoring the quality of incoming goods, stocking tracking to monitor product end date, and handling the return of unsatisfactory or faulty items.

Monitoring supplier performance and meeting targets. Supervising clerical, administrative, and warehouse distribution staff, including involvement in recruitment and training. Collaborating closely with merchandisers to allocate stock and develop sales forecasts. Maintaining records and preparing reports as necessary.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, systems, and best practices
- Proficiency in Oracle EBS or similar procurement software
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
