Key Responsibilities

As a Catering Operations Manager at CH&CO, you will be responsible for ensuring that client expectations of food and service are consistently delivered and measured, aligning with the company's brand standards.

Food and Service Development

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance food and service quality, ensuring consistency across all sites.
  • Collaborate with the team to set clear expectations for food and service standards, ensuring all services meet the highest standards.
  • Conduct regular reviews of food and service provision, providing feedback to the team and implementing necessary changes.

Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for client comments and concerns, taking prompt action to address any issues.
  • Proactively gather customer feedback to inform improvements to the service offering.

Finance and Operations

  • Ensure sites achieve financial targets in line with client agreements and budget.
  • Identify and implement strategies to overcome financial shortfalls, if necessary.
  • Maximize income through effective purchasing, marketing, and revenue/waste control.

Team Management and Development

  • Provide effective performance management and appraisals for Front of House staff and the Head Chef.
  • Ensure induction, initial skills, and on-the-job training for all Front of House staff to meet client expectations and company standards.
  • Identify training needs and work with relevant parties to ensure these needs are met.

Health and Safety

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of COSHH and HACCP procedures and methods.
