Job Title: Catering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Catering Manager to join our team at Chartwells, a leading provider of catering and support services to the education sector. As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all catering and service operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise culinary and catering teams to deliver exceptional food and customer service
  • Oversee the efficiency of all in-unit catering operations, including inventory management and budget monitoring
  • Communicate regularly with line managers to monitor KPIs and targets
  • Represent Compass Group UK&I and maintain a positive brand image
  • Identify opportunities for new food or service concepts to drive sales
  • Liaise between customers and culinary and service teams to exceed expectations
  • Support and train teams to excel in their roles
  • Implement and review Health & Safety standards to ensure compliance
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years of catering experience
  • Experience managing teams in a similar role
  • NVQ Level 1 & 2 or City & Guilds 706/1 and 2
  • Basic Food Hygiene certificate
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ambitious and motivated individual with a passion for great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
