Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Young's. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and preparation, ensuring that dishes are of the highest standard and meet the company's quality expectations.
  • Supervise and coordinate the kitchen team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage kitchen inventory and supplies, ensuring that all necessary ingredients and equipment are available.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu ideas, working closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and high customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Kitchen Manager in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of kitchen operations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
