Job Summary:

NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Catering Supervisor. As a key member of our Patient Catering Services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care through the provision of excellent food and beverage services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support staff in the delivery of patient catering services, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, as well as departmental policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and experience, working closely with the patient care team to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Collaborate with the patient care team to identify and address any issues or concerns related to patient catering services.
  • Provide training and support to staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality patient catering services.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in food safety and hygiene.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address issues quickly and effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, as well as departmental policies and procedures.
