Business Development Manager

We are seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to lead our car rental operations. This role will focus on delivering exceptional customer service, driving performance improvements, and ensuring the efficient functioning of our branch.
About Thrifty Car & Van RentalThrifty is a leading car rental company in the UK, with 89 locations nationwide. We pride ourselves on providing a comprehensive fleet and excellent customer service, making us one of the top rental companies in the country.
Job DescriptionAs a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Identifying and converting sales opportunities to drive revenue growth
- Motivating the team to upsell incremental products and services
- Exploring new business opportunities and partnerships through market research and competitor analysis
- Ensuring comprehensive training for yourself and colleagues in line with company guidelines
You will also work closely with our security team to safeguard the branch and its assets, promptly reporting any risks or security events.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in the car rental industry or a related field
- Computer skills, including email, spreadsheets, and in-house systems
- A full driving license held for at least 12 months
