Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the catering operation, ensuring high-quality food is served to residents.
  • Lead a small team of chefs and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service.
  • Maintain compliance with food hygiene and health & safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Control kitchen stock, equipment, and resources within budget, optimizing efficiency and minimizing waste.
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to the dietary needs of our residents, using fresh seasonal produce.
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure residents' nutritional needs are met, and their preferences are respected.
  • Participate in the development of food activities and events, promoting social interaction and engagement among residents.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a chef and people manager in a luxury care home setting or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of special dietary requirements and the impact of food on medication.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use kitchen management software.
  • Flexibility to work as part of a team and individually, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
