Culinary Excellence in Our Care Homes
We are seeking a skilled Chef Manager to lead our kitchen team in providing high-quality meals for our residents. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards and meet the dietary requirements of our residents.
Your duties will include:
- Preparing and cooking meals to meet the dietary needs of our residents
- Managing stock and waste, and ensuring that the kitchen remains clean and tidy
- Carrying out risk assessments and maintaining a safe working environment
- Recruiting and training staff to support the kitchen team
- Collaborating with the catering team to develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our residents
Your Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience of catering for older people and a valid food hygiene certificate
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and other stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, and the ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment
