About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Manager to lead our kitchen team at Kintyre House. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the kitchen team, including Assistant Chefs and Catering Assistants
- Prepare and cook meals to meet the dietary requirements of our residents
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure the kitchen remains clean and tidy
- Operate within budget and manage stock and waste effectively
- Recruit and train staff to ensure high-quality service
Requirements:
- Experience of catering for older people and a valid food hygiene certificate
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
