About the Role

Bracknell Forest Council is seeking a reliable and caring support worker to assist a 12-year-old child with complex disabilities. The child requires ongoing supervision and support with personal care, wheelchair transitions, and engaging in activities they enjoy.

The ideal candidate will work alongside the family and other support workers, ensuring the child's safety and well-being at all times. A driving licence is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the child with daily living tasks, including personal care and wheelchair transitions.
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to the child.
  • Engaging the child in activities they enjoy, such as going on walks or accessing the community.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with additional needs and disabilities is desirable.
  • A recent DBS certificate and relevant insurance information are required.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.
