Support Specialist for Children with Learning Disabilities

The Vetro Recruitment team is seeking a dedicated Support Specialist to join their award-winning College in Lancaster. This bespoke specialist service caters to individuals aged 16-25 with autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex needs.
As a Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in assisting students through their educational journey. Your responsibilities will include providing education support duties and collaborating with the class teacher to meet the day-to-day needs of the pupils. You will also be responsible for transporting children from the residential service to school and back.
To be successful in this role, you should possess a genuine desire to create positive outcomes for individuals with learning disabilities. Empathy, a caring nature, and resilience are essential qualities required for this position. Additionally, you must hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one, and have the right to work in the UK.
