About the Role

Cox Automotive is seeking a highly skilled and motivated National Vehicle Buyer to join our team. As a National Vehicle Buyer, you will play a crucial role in acquiring high-quality vehicles for our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inbound & Outbound Communication: Achieve the minimum requirement for outbound and inbound calls, by meeting and exceeding conversions from a bought unit perspective.
  • Accurate Vehicle Condition Identification: To provide market trade values and relevant document checks in accordance with our company's policy and procedures.
  • Negotiating Leads: Utilize the tools available to you, along with your ability to build relationships, to convert warm leads that the business receives. Use your negotiation skills to overcome customer concerns and reservations to convert leads into purchased units.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Operate in line with our company values, specifically doing the right thing, to ensure that all customers receive a world-class service when selling their vehicle. Responsible for forging strong professional relationships with customers to drive engagement and satisfaction.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business and support overall operational success.
Requirements
  • Customer Service Experience: Proven experience in providing exceptional customer service.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to build rapport via telephone and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the provision and delivery of customer service within an energetic sales environment, utilizing your B2C skills and experience to provide a first-class selling experience and converting leads into purchased units.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure that the car buying business process is adhered to, and data is gathered/input correctly.
  • Performance Culture: Ability to operate in a high-performance culture, to meet and exceed performance targets.
  • Document Collection: Adhering to requirements of document collection with an understanding of GDPR requirements.
  • Initiative and Time Management: Ability to work on own initiative and time manage daily duties.
  • Professional Liaison: Liaise professionally when working with other departments.
  • Positive Attitude: A professional, positive, and enthusiastic outlook within a fast-paced environment.
  • Technology Adoption: Enthusiastic about leveraging new technology to support continuous improvement.
