Join Our Team as a Night Shift Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Night Shift Supervisor to join our team at Biffa's Ford facility. As a key member of our Resources & Energy division, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our waste management services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and lead the night shift production team to achieve high levels of productivity and efficiency.
  • Monitor and maintain health and safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Operate and maintain mobile and fixed plant equipment, adhering to company standards and regulations.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and training to team members to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with the management team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance operational performance.
  • Deputise for the Shift Leader in their absence, assuming responsibility for the site.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service and resolving any issues promptly.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including IOSH certification.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Previous experience in the waste management sector, with a strong understanding of engineering and mechanical principles.
