About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Night Shift Supervisor to join our team at Biffa's Ford facility. As a key member of our Resources & Energy division, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our waste management services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the night shift team to maintain high standards of health and safety and production performance.
  • Operate mobile and fixed plant as part of your principal responsibilities.
  • Monitor and review production teams to ensure continuous improvement and report deficiencies within the plant.
  • Liaise with the management team on the plant's operational performance and deputise in the absence of the Shift Leader.
  • Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents and support the management of production teams.
  • Assist the team in achieving the site's KPIs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Working knowledge of health and safety, IOSH (desirable).
  • Knowledge and understanding of ISO accreditations and requirements.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word etc).
  • Previous experience and knowledge gained in the waste sector (desirable).
  • Previous management/supervisor experience of working with large teams predominantly in production/manufacturing environments (essential).
  • A general understanding of engineering/mechanical principles (desirable).
