About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Night Shift Supervisor to join our team at Biffa's Ford facility. As a key member of our Resources & Energy division, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our waste management services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the night shift team to maintain high standards of health and safety and production performance.
  • Operate mobile and fixed plant as part of your principal responsibilities.
  • Monitor and review production teams to ensure continuous improvement and identify areas for development.
  • Report and record deficiencies within the plant and monitor staff training and compliance.
  • Liaise with the management team on operational performance and deputise in the absence of the Shift Leader.
  • Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents and support the team in achieving site KPIs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Working knowledge of health and safety and IOSH certification (desirable).Knowledge and understanding of ISO accreditations and requirements.Computer literacy and previous experience in the waste sector (desirable).Previous management or supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing environment.A general understanding of engineering or mechanical principles (desirable).
