Job Overview

This role offers a unique chance to specialise in paediatrics and work closely with the paediatric multidisciplinary team (MDT) and other specialist teams, including paediatric outpatient and home enteral feeding dietetic teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement comprehensive dietetic plans for children and their families/carers, encompassing assessment, advice, treatment, and counselling.
  2. Independently manage a complex caseload, working collaboratively with children and their carers to agree patient-centred care goals.
  3. Contribute to the development of coordinated care plans by working closely with the wider MDT and attending relevant meetings and case conferences.
  4. Regularly evaluate patients' progress and participate in service improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  5. Promote effective communication among patients, carers, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
  6. Train and educate patients, carers, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to foster a unified approach to patient care.
  7. Maintain awareness of clinical risks within your caseload and adhere to safeguarding principles.
