Front Desk Supervisor Role Summary

As a Front Desk Supervisor at Marriott International, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a seamless check-in experience. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process guest check-ins, including confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys.
  • Manage guest complaints and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with expediting problem payments and follow up with guests regarding satisfaction with guest-related issues.
  • Anticipate sold-out situations and obtain satisfactory alternative accommodations when the property cannot accommodate guests with reservations.
  • Block rooms in the computer and identify designated requirements and requests.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in.
  • Review shift logs/daily memo books and document pertinent information in logbooks.
  • Count bank at the beginning and end of shift. Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit transactions.
