Job Overview

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and coordinate shifts in our neonatal unit, working closely with a talented team of healthcare professionals. As a Senior Neonatal Unit Manager, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill newborns and their families.

The ideal candidate will have recent experience at senior staff nurse level within neonatal nursing and demonstrate clinical competence in neonatal nursing skills. A teaching and assessing qualification is also essential. If you are a motivated individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to make clinical decisions, we encourage you to apply.

We operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH), Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) - as well as community healthcare premises across Morecambe Bay. Our aim is to provide high-quality care, advice, and support to our patients, helping them remain independent and manage their conditions effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate shifts in the neonatal unit
  • Provide high-quality care to critically ill newborns and their families
  • Work closely with a talented team of healthcare professionals
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
