Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Adult Psychiatry Specialty Doctor to join our team at North East London NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide senior medical support and direct input on clinical cases, working closely with our 1wte Adult Consultant Psychiatrist and 1wte Senior Trainee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide senior medical support to the team and direct input on clinical cases
  • Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to people between the ages of 14 and 65 years with mental health needs
  • Provide guidance and supervision to the team
  • Work directly with people aged 14 to 65 years, and their families, and liaise as appropriate with other external adult mental health providers and acute hospitals
  • Develop links with local acute trusts A&E departments and inpatient wards
  • Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies
Requirements
  • At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies
