Role: Food and Beverage Assistant

Location: Seaham Hall, County Durham

Salary: Up to £11.44 per hour, dependant on age plus a share of service charge, approx. £2,000 a year for full-time hours

Hours: Full and part-time available, including weekends and bank holidays

Relationships: General Manager, Kitchen team, Food and Beverage team

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in a similar role required – restaurant/bar/reception
  • Have excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Attention to detail to ensure the 5-star standard of service is delivered consistently
  • Knowledge of Simphony software is advantageous
  • Ability to effectively interact with management, team members, and guests in a professional manner
  • Be a team player as well as an individual worker
  • Must have transport
  • To provide attentive service during the meal and watch for special requests
  • To assist in the general cleaning of your working areas
  • To take every opportunity to upsell – desserts, starters, drinks, etc.
  • To attend work consistently well-groomed, in uniform
  • Be willing to attend training and gain an understanding of the menu to be able to offer guidance and recommendations to guests
