Job Title: Children and Young People Services Officer

Job Summary:

Fostering People is a leading provider of fostering services, dedicated to giving children a strong and happy future. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Children and Young People Services Officer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and action referrals received from local authorities, working collaboratively with the referrals manager and officers, social workers, team managers, and senior management team.
  • Match young people with fostering families according to their needs, using your expertise and initiative to find creative solutions.
  • Develop positive relationships with colleagues, foster families, and local authorities, ensuring excellent customer service and communication.
  • Work effectively within a team and independently, using your organizational and administration skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory policies and processes, maintaining high standards of quality and care.

Requirements:

  • Experience working within children's services or a similar field, with a strong understanding of child welfare and protection.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and administration skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
  • Full support and training will be provided to ensure your success in this role.
