Job Description

Job Title: Children and Young People Team Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our team at CareTech Group. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of Support Workers in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Support Workers in providing person-centered care and support to children and young people
  • Develop and implement individual care plans in collaboration with the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and implement safety measures to ensure the well-being of children and young people
  • Collaborate with other teams, including therapy and education, to ensure a holistic approach to care
  • Provide supervision and guidance to Support Workers to ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality care
  • Participate in staff training and development to ensure up-to-date knowledge and skills
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a residential care setting, preferably with children and young people
  • Qualification in childcare or a related field, such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Ability to lead a team and provide supervision and guidance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
  • Full UK driving license
