We are in search of a transformative leader to spearhead our mission in establishing innovative therapeutic environments where children can heal and flourish.

As the Childcare Operations Leader, your primary responsibility will be to formulate and implement the strategic vision, guarantee financial viability, and create a leadership framework for our residential services dedicated to children.

You will oversee the transformation, planning, development, and coordination of our services for Looked After Children.

Our facilities adopt a psychologically informed approach to caring for children who have experienced trauma, fostering a nurturing home environment and community support.

In this role, you will be deeply involved in both the care and support of children and young people, as well as the strategic advancement of our services.

Your duties will include overseeing and managing the sourcing and registration of new homes and services, collaborating with internal and external teams to optimize resource utilization.

  • To create a sustainable business strategy and model that aligns with our strategic objectives.
  • Ensure the maintenance of existing ratings of Outstanding and Good in our homes by embedding the values, ethos, and principles of child-centered services in new homes and services.
  • Act as the Responsible Individual, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders, including regulatory inspectors and commissioning authorities.
  • Develop a workforce strategy that encourages effective recruitment of skilled professionals and supports the career development and skill enhancement of existing staff.

With extensive experience in children's residential care at a senior management level, you will have a proven track record of successfully operating and launching new residential homes, collaborating with regulatory bodies, and managing large teams across multiple locations.

Your wealth of experience will be instrumental in helping us achieve our objectives, and you will be driven by a passion for positively impacting the lives of the children in our care.

From your previous roles, you will be adept at managing complex budgets, executing strategic plans, and driving exceptional performance.

Whether your background is in the commercial or charitable sector, you will share our commitment to opening new homes and creating more opportunities for children, ensuring they have the space, time, and support to heal from developmental and relational trauma.

We seek candidates with extensive knowledge of relevant childcare and social care legislation, child protection, and safeguarding, either through qualifications or experience.

You must be prepared to register as the organization's Responsible Individual with the regulatory body.

We encourage you to hold a qualification in business management suitable for the seniority of this position or be willing to obtain one within 12 months of your appointment, with our full support.
