About the Role:

Dovetail and Slate Ltd is seeking a dedicated and child-centred Registered Manager for their children's residential home. In this role, you will have the autonomy to recruit and build your own team of Residential Care Workers and Deputy Managers while leading the home in line with the highest standards of care and regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the home operates in full compliance with regulatory frameworks and statutory guidelines.
  • Lead and manage a team of care staff, overseeing recruitment, training, and development.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans that focus on each child's physical, emotional, and educational well-being.
  • Maintain and continually improve the quality of care through regular audits and assessments.
  • Build strong relationships with external agencies, local authorities, and other stakeholders involved in the children's lives.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in a leadership role within children's residential care.
  • Strong experience in managing regulatory frameworks and a proven track record of maintaining high standards.
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • A passion for safeguarding and improving the lives of young people.
