Main Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day care and supervision to residents, delegating tasks to nursing and care staff as needed.
  • Lead clinical supervision for Registered Nurses, ensuring they maintain necessary competencies.
  • Act as a Shift Team Leader, overseeing care staff and contributing to their development.
  • Contribute to training and development of care staff, demonstrating professionalism and expertise.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, attending mandatory training as required.
  • Ensure effective operation of Gold Care standards and support systems, driving positive outcomes for service users.
  • Monitor and review services, taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Maintain high professional standards and leadership, adhering to relevant codes of practice.
  • Support the Home Manager with formal supervision and appraisal of staff, ensuring consistently high standards.
  • Implement and adhere to Gold Care policies and procedures, legal requirements, and codes of practice.
  • Assist with effective recruitment, performance management, and deployment of staff to deliver high-quality care and support outcomes.
  • Liaise with maintenance contractors and other stakeholders as required.
  • Promote the service and Gold Care through effective communication with stakeholders, including service users, staff, relatives, and the local community.
  • Enhance the lives of service users and Gold Care's reputation through excellent customer care.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a caring and professional ethos, good clinical background, and up-to-date NMC pin. You will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support to residents. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and experienced leader who can inspire and motivate care staff to deliver exceptional care and support.
