As a key member of the digital team, you will play a crucial role in driving the Trust's digital strategy, ensuring seamless delivery of digital services, and guiding the organization through the evolution of digital technology.
Main Responsibilities- Direct and manage the day-to-day operations of the Digital Services department.
- Act as a point of escalation, coordinating and ensuring an appropriate departmental response to digital incidents.
- Advise the CIO, divisional directors, and department leads on current and future IT capabilities and opportunities.
- Oversee the department's operational, workforce, training, and financial metrics, ensuring high-quality delivery of services, including helpdesk and communications.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the Trust's services, delivery models, and priorities to ensure digital services and solutions meet the organization's needs.
- Assist the CIO in developing organizational vision and IT strategic and operational plans, aligning IT priorities and actions in support of Trust goals.
- Understand how IT decisions impact hospital operations and develop strategies for communicating these decisions and achieving desired results.
- Oversee and provide guidance on cross-department initiatives relevant to digital services, ensuring collaboration, financial planning, and project delivery.
- Ensure the Trust meets all legal requirements, NHS digital targets, and mandates, risk management standards, and quality checks in relation to ICT.
- PRINCE 2 (Foundation and Practitioner)
- ITIL Foundation (v3)
- MSP (Foundation and Practitioner)
- University degree (2:1 or above) or equivalent
- Higher degree or equivalent experience
- Recognised professional qualification (e.g., CHCIO, FEDIP, PGDip)
