**About the Role:**

We are seeking an experienced nurse or allied health professional to join our team as a clinical assessor. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing medical evidence, gathering relevant information, and compiling comprehensive reports to support the Victims' Payments Board in its decision-making process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet face-to-face with applicants to review their medical evidence and determine the permanence of their condition and percentage disablement.
  • Play a proactive role in seeking further medical evidence from GPs, other healthcare professionals, or services as required.
  • Gather relevant information from applicants and/or representatives, analyse and interpret clinical information, and compile a comprehensive report.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' post-registration experience.
  • Fully registered without sanction or conditions of practice with the NMC.
  • A demonstrable background in Mental Health/Psychiatric speciality.
  • Ability to work at pace, set boundaries, manage conversations, and keep to timescales.
  • Report writing skills with an ability to deal with a high percentage of work using a laptop and IT systems.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £38,500-£41,400 per annum.
  • An initial 6 weeks' training and ongoing support provided.
  • Flexible work patterns, working between 8am and 8pm, with a 37.5-hour week.
  • Hybrid working, predominantly working from home with clinic visits required.
  • 23 days' holiday.
