About the Role

This SEN Teaching Assistant position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about making a real difference in the lives of secondary-aged students with SEMH needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individualized support and guidance to students in a specialized setting.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide one-to-one assistance to students, helping to guide and nurture their academic and emotional development.
  • Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Personalised Education Plans (PEPs) in collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO.
  • Use effective behaviour management techniques to promote student progress and well-being.
  • Collaborate with parents and the wider school community to support student development and growth.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • An Enhanced DBS Disclosure for child workforce on the Update Service, along with Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
  • A complete CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, where possible.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
  • Driving is beneficial for this role. Public transport users should be able to travel one hour each way.
