Child Support Worker

Acorn Homes Group is committed to providing exceptional care and support to vulnerable children. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled individual to join our team as a Child Support Worker.
The estimated annual salary for this role is £30,160 (£12.50 per hour), including 2 sleep shifts per week at an extra £40 each, totaling £32,200 per annum.
About the Role:
In this vital position, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care, protection, and support to young people. Your main objective will be to facilitate their physical, psychological, emotional, and recreational development in line with individual care plans.
You will work closely with colleagues to create a safe and structured environment that encourages young people to develop life skills and participate in leisure activities, educational interests, and social opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care, protection, and support to young people in accordance with individual care plans.
- Participate in the creation of a safe and structured environment that fosters the development of life skills and engagement in leisure activities, educational interests, and social opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people.
Requirements:
- Hold or be willing to achieve a Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care with Children and Young People.
- Be prepared to work early, late, and night shifts (including sleepovers) on a rota basis.
- Be over the age of 21.
