About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Residential Deputy Manager to join our team at Polaris Community. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and support to our residential care staff, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to residential care staff, promoting a positive and supportive team culture.
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of our young people, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including education and therapy, to ensure a holistic approach to supporting our young people.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Participate in on-call rosters, providing support and guidance to staff on duty.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Residential Childcare or a related field.
  • Experience in a residential care setting, with a proven track record of leadership and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, young people, and external partners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards for residential care.
