This role is pivotal in managing our residential facility, where you will lead a team of professionals dedicated to providing high-quality care. If you possess a collaborative leadership style and have experience in children's residential care, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the Statement of Purpose is accurately maintained, reflecting the needs of the children in our care.
- Facilitate effective communication within the team to support operational duties.
- Oversee the management and enhancement of quality services for young people, ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Identify and address staff training and development needs, providing guidance as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations as per company standards.
- Regularly assess the condition of the facility to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
- Manage financial budgets and ensure compliance with company expectations.
- Promote and uphold the principles of Equality and Diversity within the workplace.
- Monitor and evaluate service quality and team performance.
- Establish effective communication systems to relay company policies and objectives to all team members.
- Provide leadership and vision to the team, ensuring effective workload management and adherence to company policies.
- Supervise staff performance and ensure adherence to appraisal procedures.
- Uphold confidentiality and ensure all staff are trained in this area.
- Participate in the induction process for new employees to ensure a smooth transition into their roles.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of the challenges faced by young people in care.
- Relevant qualifications in Residential Childcare or Health & Social Care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small team.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
- Experience in working with young people with Emotional Behavioural Disorders is advantageous.
- A valid UK driving license is required.
