Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Residential Deputy Manager to join our team at North Lakes Children's Services. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our residential care home, providing leadership and guidance to our staff, and promoting the well-being and development of our young people.
Main Responsibilities:
* Ensure the Statement of Purpose is in place and reflects the needs of our young people
* Develop effective communication strategies and systems to support staff in their duties
* Manage and develop quality direct services to young people, ensuring policies and procedures are implemented
* Identify and meet staff training and development needs, and assist in training staff as required
* Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations and maintain a safe and healthy environment
* Regularly inspect the condition of the building and ensure all necessary equipment is in good working order
* Manage finance budgets, control, administration, and records in accordance with company expectations and procedures
Requirements:
* Hold a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level in Health & Social Care or equivalent
* Excellent communication and listening skills
* Ability to work well as part of a small team
* Willingness to learn and undertake a DBS check at enhanced level
* Experience with Emotional Behavioural Disorder, Social/Residential Work, or Youth Work is advantageous
* Full, clean UK driving licence and ability to cover at other Residential Homes as needed
