Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and skilled Residential Deputy Manager to join our team at North Lakes Children's Services. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our residential care home, providing leadership and guidance to our staff, and ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our young people.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide vision and leadership to staff within a specialist team, ensuring that effective systems are in place for workload allocation and management.
- Quality Assurance: Set, monitor, and evaluate standards at individual, team performance, and service quality.
- Communication: Establish and manage team communications systems, ensuring that company procedures, policies, strategies, and objectives are effectively communicated to all team members.
- Professional Practice: Ensure that professional practice in the team is carried out to the highest standards and developed in line with the company's stated objectives of continual improvement in quality of its service to the young people in our care and external professionals.
- Financial Management: Manage a designated budget, ensuring that the company achieves value for money in all circumstances through the monitoring and control of expenditure and the early identification of any financial irregularity.
- Supervision and Appraisal: Provide supervision and appraisal to all members of staff, ensuring that they follow the company's procedure in respect of supervision and appraisal.
- Equality and Diversity: Ensure that the company's commitment to promoting a just society that gives everyone an equal chance to learn, work, and live free from discrimination and prejudice is put into practice.
- Confidentiality: Ensure that all members of staff are aware of the importance of confidentiality and take steps to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Qualifications: Hold a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
- Experience: Have experience working in residential care, preferably in a management role.
- Skills: Excellent communication and listening skills, ability to work well as part of a small team, and willingness to learn.
- DBS Check: Willingness to undertake a DBS check at enhanced level if successful for the position.
- Driving License: Hold a full, clean UK driving license and be able to cover at other residential homes as and when needed.
- Salary: Up to £.
- Sleep-in Allowance: £. per night.
