Main Responsibilities
  • To provide inspirational leadership and direction to the Canine and Equine academic team
  • To develop and implement new programmes and courses, ensuring they meet the needs of students and industry partners
  • To work closely with other stakeholders, including staff, students, and external partners, to promote the success of the programme
  • To ensure the highest quality of teaching, learning, and assessment, aligned with university standards and expectations
  • To contribute to the development of research and knowledge exchange initiatives, enhancing the reputation of the university
Requirements
  • A relevant degree and/or postgraduate qualification in a field related to canine or equine studies
  • Proven experience in higher education leadership and management, preferably in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of curriculum design, development, and delivery
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
  • Ability to lead and manage teams, with a focus on collaboration and student-centred approaches
