Assistant Street Works and Permitting Officer

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Street Works and Permitting Team as an Assistant Street Works and Permitting Officer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient use of the Lincolnshire Highway Network by coordinating, inspecting, and enforcing works on the highway.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing administrative support to Street Works Officers in the team.
- Entering data into our IT systems.
- Coordinating highway works under the Lincolnshire Permit Scheme.
- Inspecting highway sites to ensure compliance with NRSWA legislation and the Permit Scheme.
- Liaising with internal engineering teams and external utilities.
This is a full-time, entry-level position that offers training and development opportunities. As a Smarter Working Employer, we offer a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to strike a balance between work and personal life.
You will be based at our Sleaford/Thurlby offices, with regular team meetings and site visits. We require a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for this role.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A BTEC or A levels, or equivalent qualifications.
- A demonstrable level of knowledge and skill suitable for the role.
- Relevant experience, a professional work ethic, and good interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other IT systems.
