About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Decommissioning Key Account Manager to join our team at Ansaldo Nuclear Limited. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for driving growth and strategic development of our decommissioning sector in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive 5-year plan for the decommissioning sector, aligned with business objectives.
  • Formulate market strategy plans to deliver the 5-year plan objectives, including building and maintaining relationships with clients, partners, and government bodies.
  • Work closely with our communications team to showcase Ansaldo Nuclear's decommissioning capabilities and identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Identify and assist in the development of business investment plans, including targeted recruitment and capital expenditure investments.
  • Champion the development of new accounts and partnerships, and manage existing frameworks to maximize benefits.
  • Work with our technical teams to identify solutions to clients' key challenges and develop cohesive strategic plans with our Defence and Energy Key Account Managers.
  • Manage and control sector budgets, bid costs, and support the development of project delivery cost control measures and risk management plans.
  • Deliver business KPIs to target, including working capital, revenue, order intake, and hit rate ratio.
  • Ensure commercial matters are acceptable to clients during the tender phase, working closely with our financial and commercial teams.
  • Report on in-year performance and budgeted market progress, and deliver strategic actions.
  • Support the Ansaldo Nuclear continuous improvement programme, focusing on internal and external key initiatives.
Requirements
  • Degree in Business, Nuclear, or a scientific discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer.
  • At least 5 years of experience delivering business growth in similar roles.
  • Excellent leadership and influential skills.
  • Able to write high-quality documentation, including presentations, tenders, and business cases.
  • Naturally able to effectively communicate with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience of delivering tenders in an EPC and/or consultancy environment.
  • Able to understand and effectively communicate clients' high-level requirements and key drivers.
  • Able to inspire and lead teams to exceed company targets.
  • Able to achieve SC clearance.
