Job Title: Interim Management Accountant

Job Summary:

The Haven Wolverhampton is seeking an experienced Interim Management Accountant to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information to the Board, Senior Leadership Team, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present monthly management accounts, annual reports, and financial statements to stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of cash flow reports, budgets, and forecasts to ensure financial stability and compliance.
  • Produce routine reports for the Board and Sub-Committees, highlighting key financial trends and issues.
  • Identify and escalate payment, invoice, cash flow, and banking matters to support the Board and Sub-Committees.
  • Oversee the production of year-end accounts to trial balance and the annual audit process.
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Submit annual returns to the relevant regulatory bodies, including the Charity Commission, Companies House, and HMRC.
  • Implement new accounting procedures and accounting packages as required.
  • Organize and maintain financial paperwork, including accounting software updates.
  • Contribute to the development of relevant policies and processes.
