We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Protection Specialist to join our Public Health Team at Cambridgeshire County Council.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to provide system leadership, coordination, and assurance across a range of organisations to ensure local systems are in place to respond to an outbreak or an emergency and take steps to ensure that risks are mitigated and managed.
The post has a leadership role along with some operational responsibilities. The successful candidate will be able to build good relationships across many different sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Support the local response to any health protection incidents, outbreaks, and emergencies.
- Provide system leadership, coordination, and assurance across a range of organisations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health protection policies, procedures, and best practices.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A background in health protection or public health.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
