Safety and Security Specialist

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the BAE Systems Safety & Environmental Team as a Senior Engineer. The team works across multiple programmes, including the Dreadnought Programme/SSNA programme/Astute Programme and in-service vessels. We are looking for an experienced engineer with a strong background in safety engineering to contribute to the design of submarines, risk assessments, and safety case reports.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant STEM discipline and experience in safety engineering, preferably in a high-hazard industry. They will be responsible for contributing to the design of submarines, acting as a subject matter expert for internal hazard safety, developing safety case reports, and undertaking risk assessments. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills and be able to liaise with stakeholders on safety matters.
