Dreadnought Program Safety Manager

As Product Safety Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of the Dreadnought Class SSBN platform. This will involve supporting the production of safety Build Assurance Justification within the BAES-SM and collaborating with the Barrow Safety Assurance Manager to address any discrepancies between the platform's design intent and actual build.
You will act as the MOD technical liaison with Platform and Nuclear Propulsion build committees and provide a safety interface with the propulsion/reactor/ships/weapons Test Groups. Your key responsibilities will also include reviewing and assessing the Safety Argument and Safety Evidence provided by BAE and identifying areas for improvement.
The estimated salary range for this position is £55,000 - £80,000 depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including a pension scheme, annual leave allowance, and access to additional benefits such as flexible working and employee discounts.
About the TeamThe Dreadnought Alliance is a collaboration between Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems (BAES), and the Ministry of Defence to deliver the 'Dreadnought Class SSBN' programme. The scope of the Dreadnought Programme is the delivery of four SSBNs to the Royal Navy to maintain Continuous At Sea Deterrence (CASD). This post is part of the Joint Design Authority within the Dreadnought Alliance, which is the Platform & Whole Boat Design Authority for Dreadnought.
