Youth Services Manager - Forward Leeds

Position Summary
Humankind is seeking a dedicated Youth Services Manager to lead our Forward Leeds initiative, focusing on the Young People's Team. This role involves managing a passionate and diverse group of approximately 14 professionals who provide essential support to young individuals in Leeds facing challenges related to substance use.

The service caters to youth up to 18 years old, extending support and treatment for drug and alcohol issues to young adults as well.

About the Role
As the Youth Services Manager, you will play a crucial role in fostering the development of this committed team, guiding them towards personal and professional growth. Your leadership will help enhance the effectiveness of interventions that positively impact the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operations of the Young People's Team, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with community organizations to enhance support for young individuals.
  • Develop innovative service pathways and models to improve outcomes for service users.
  • Mentor and support team members in their professional development, promoting a culture of learning.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the service meets the evolving needs of the community.

Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for a candidate who is genuinely passionate about empowering young people and understands the significance of effective substance use interventions. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in managing services that support children, young people, or adults.
  • Knowledge of substance use services and their impact on individuals.
  • Proven ability to develop new service relationships and models.
  • A recognized management qualification or equivalent experience.
