Job Title: Youth Work Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Youth Work Manager to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of youth workers, providing support and guidance to young people, and developing and implementing programs to promote their well-being and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of youth workers, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to young people.
  • Develop and implement programs to promote the well-being and development of young people, including recreational activities, educational programs, and counseling services.
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure the needs of young people are met and their health and well-being are promoted.
  • Provide support and guidance to young people, including one-to-one counseling, group work, and advocacy.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies and organizations to ensure the delivery of comprehensive services to young people.
Requirements:
  • Professional qualification in youth work or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with young people in a youth work or related setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with young people, staff, and external agencies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Good understanding of the needs and issues affecting young people, with a commitment to promoting their well-being and development.
