Job Description:

Global Banking School is seeking a highly skilled ICT/Data Technician to provide exceptional face-to-face IT support to students and staff across one of our campuses. As an ICT/Data Technician, you will be responsible for assisting with computer hardware and software provided by GBS, including printing and ID card production. Your tasks will also include setting up and configuring PC/laptop equipment with required operating systems, installing software and drivers as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with computer hardware and software provided by GBS, including printing and ID card production.
• Set up and configure PC/laptop equipment with required operating systems, installing software and drivers as necessary.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, and implement corrective action procedures within prescribed guidelines.
• Work with team members to troubleshoot complex and routine computer issues.
• Perform one-on-one computer training on technology when necessary.
• Provide support with password issues.
• Follow best practice guidelines for security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
• Perform tests and evaluations on new software and hardware.
• Maintain records/logs of loan equipment, repairs and fixes, and maintenance schedules.
• Provide orientation and guidance to users on new software and computer equipment.
• Support general administration tasks such as printing, filing, processing, and collating information as required.

Essential Skills and Experience:
• Knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles (CompTIA Network+/CompTIA Security+).
• Experience with installing operating systems and software, computer networks, network administration, and network installation.
• Experience providing IT support remotely and in person.
• Knowledge of service management systems and ITIL best practice.
• Knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems.
• Familiarity with programming languages, operating systems, and current equipment and technologies.
