We are seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team at Wales Medicines Strategy Group. As a senior operational management professional, you will be responsible for driving our programme forward and ensuring that we deliver high-quality services for all.

Key Responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for developing effective strategy and operational policies for promoting innovation across the directorate and into wider NHS England. This will involve working closely with colleagues across the sector, ensuring coherent strategy and:

  1. Driving the implementation of strategy for, supporting and ensuring alignment across the programme.
  2. Developing and leading the strategy for workforce planning across the directorate and associated activities, including government interaction.
  3. Developing and communicating the strategy and operational policies to support this vision.
  4. Engaging with key strategic regional and national policy makers to inform development of strategy and policies.
  5. Working with providers and clinical experts to design new training products.

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience of working in a senior operational management role, managing performance to agreed standards and simultaneously managing several projects. In particular, you will need to demonstrate that you can:

  1. React positively to continuous change and a fast pace of work.
  2. Provide professional and constructive challenge to colleagues at all grades to ensure that our programme remains compliant but is continuously improving and striving for excellence.

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
