Clinical Lead for Gender Services in Wales

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Welsh Gender Service (WGS) team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with clinicians, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to deliver equitable and person-centred care for patients requiring access to gender services.
The role involves working as part of a network involving local clinicians to ensure that care is offered closer to home. You will be responsible for providing specialist input and advice relating to the endocrinological care of patients within the service.
This exciting opportunity offers the chance to develop your skills and expertise in a unique and rapidly evolving field. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Clinical Director of the WGS and other senior staff members to shape the direction of our service and drive innovation.
Main Duties:
- Provide expert clinical care using an extensive theoretical knowledge base and practical experience.
- Deliver specialist educational programmes to healthcare professionals.
- Prescribe enquiries for patients transferring their care into Wales from elsewhere.
- Offer advice on blood monitoring results or treatment plans for patients not captured by the Local Gender Team.
- Provide guidance on sexual and reproductive health, including contraception for patients on a gender pathway.

Salary: £56,000 - £65,000 per annum. Salary inclusive of annual leave entitlement, pension scheme, and health insurance benefits.
