Senior Oncology Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncologist Consultant to join our team and contribute to the delivery of exceptional care to the people of North Wales.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented medical professional to take on a key leadership position within our oncology services. As a Clinical Lead, you will play a vital role in strengthening our workforce and ensuring that we continue to provide the best possible care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist oncological services to the population served with special reference to common cancers and agreed appropriate oncology subspecialties.
  • Liaise with colleagues in Oncology, Haematology, and Palliative Care to provide inpatient cover for oncology patients.
  • Develop and participate in collaborative initiatives, prioritizing clinical effectiveness and evidence-based medicine.
  • Participate in audit, teaching, and continuing medical education (CME) to ensure active participation in professional development.

Requirements:

  • Full GMC Registration.
  • MB ChB or equivalent qualification.
  • MRCP or equivalent certification.
  • Inclusion on the Specialist Register or eligibility for inclusion within 6 months.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Higher Degree in a relevant field.
  • Published research and experience in encouraging research among junior staff.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional development, a supportive working environment, and a comprehensive pension scheme.
