Job Description:
  • Provide specialist communication services to children, adolescents and families who have a child with a learning disability in North Derbyshire, as part of the overall mental health assessment.

Working within the LD CAMHS team, you will be responsible for contributing to communication assessments, formulations and interventions for young people with learning disabilities as part of LD CAMHS. This will involve offering training, consultations and expert clinical advice about communication and language disorders to mental health practitioners.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech & Language Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a recognised vocational degree in speech and language therapy and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). A strong background in working with children with learning disabilities and / or Autism is essential, as well as experience in devising and delivering training.

The salary for this role is approximately £45,000 per annum, based on your skills and qualifications.
