Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our Neurological Rehabilitation Team at Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist assessment and management for individuals with acquired brain injuries and progressive neurological conditions.
- Develop and deliver rehabilitation programs for individuals with communication and swallowing disorders.
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic care and support.
- Contribute to the development of new ways of working and service improvement initiatives.
- Provide training and education to other healthcare professionals and support staff.
- Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent qualification.
- Current registration with HCPC.
- Certified member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
- Postgraduate certificate in dysphagia or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of postgraduate training/CPD in areas of acquired neurological communication and swallowing disorders.
- Experience of working in a neurological rehabilitation setting.
- Knowledge of recent developments in practice and research, including NSFs/NICE guidelines.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Skilled in the use of IT, including Microsoft 365 and Apps/programmes used in the assessment, treatment and management of clients with communication difficulties.
