About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our community team in Bridgnorth. As a key member of our team, you will provide specialist services to individuals living with communication and swallowing disorders in the local community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage a wide range of communication and swallowing disorders in both hospital and community settings.
  • Work collaboratively with patients, families, and carers to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Provide clinical supervision, teaching, mentorship, and appraisal to support the development of the team.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical governance policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Professional qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
  • Extensive experience in relevant areas of clinical practice, including communication and swallowing disorders in acquired conditions.
  • Teaching, presentation, and audit experience.
  • Specialist level of clinical reasoning and knowledge of clinical governance.
