About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our community team at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will provide specialist services to individuals living with communication and swallowing disorders in the Bridgnorth area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment and management for a wide range of communication and swallowing disorders in both hospital and community settings.
  • Work collaboratively with patients, families, and carers to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • Professional qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
  • Extensive experience in communication and swallowing disorders in a range of acquired disorders.
  • Teaching and presentation experience.
  • Audit and research experience.
  • Specialist level of clinical reasoning and knowledge.
